Experts in timber since 1979, NYTimber, part of the National Timber Group are looking for a full time Administration Assistant to join the busy Engineered Wood Products (EWP)Administration Team at the Manufacturing and Distribution Centre at Brompton on Swale.

The successful applicant will be a flexible, organised individual with previous administrative experience.

Duties to include:

  • General administrative duties
  • Data input
  • Communication via email and telephone

Working hours and benefits:

Experts in timber since 1979, NYTimber, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit Production, Warehouse and Fabrication Operatives to join the Production and Distribution site in Brompton-on-Swale.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible and a reliable team player with good literacy and numeracy skills. An interest in, or previous experience of basic woodworking would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting in the assembly of timber components to order requirements
  • Picking products for orders
  • Loading/unloading vehicles
  • Use of equipment, machinery and plant (after training)
  • Completion of basic standard paperwork

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri either 6.00am to 2.00pm or 2.00pm to 10.00pm, competitive hourly rate + percentage shift allowance paid for all basic 37.5 hours. Agreed hours over 37.5 paid at overtime rates.

or

39 hours per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am to 3.30pm, competitive basic hourly rate + all agreed hours worked over 39 paid at overtime rates.

Pay and benefits:

  • National Minimum/Living Wage (+ 16.5% shift allowance for 6-2/2-10) paid during initial 3 month probationary period
  • Hourly rate increases available following successful completion of probationary period
  • Further increases available following training to achieve semi skilled or skilled status
  • Further increases available for achievement of specific skills
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 time during week over basic hours and Saturdays or double time for
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Shift allowance paid at 16.5% extra for all basic 37.5 hours worked 6.00-2.00 or 2.00-10.00
  • Realistic earning potential of more than 29% above National Minimum/Living Wage for skilled operatives

Experts in Timber since 1979, NYTimber, part of the National Timber Group are looking to recruit a Fork Lift Truck/Sideloader Operator to join their well established Manufacturing and Distribution Team at Brompon on Swale, near Catterick Racecourse.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Fork Lift truck Operator, ideally with Sideloader experience and a current licence.

Duties will include:

  • Operating Fork Lift Trucks and Sideloaders to stack, check and move goods
  • Loading and unloading goods effectively following H&S guidelines
  • Maintaining the safe operational use of the fork lift trucks, reporting any issues
  • Making sure that the working areas for the forklifts are clear and accessible at all times
  • Following stock rotation procedures
  • Ensuring your working practices maintain site security and general health and safety requirements

Hours, salary and benefits:

  • This is a full time 37.5 hour role
  • Monday - Friday working alternate weekly shift patterns of 6.00am - 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm
  • Competitive salary and a generous 16.5% shift allowance paid for 37.5 hours of shift working
  • Hours over 37.5 do not attract shift allowance but are paid at time and a half Mon-Sat and double time Sun
