NYT are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council ®) certified timber suppliers and are committed to protecting the environment through a responsible purchasing policy.

We only purchase from suppliers who are registered to a recognised scheme such as FSC, PEFC or FPCC which are independently assessed by an accredited third party.

We have always sourced timber products from reputable companies. For example, Bergkvist, our principle Swedish timber supplier for over 30 years, is PEFC registered.

Chain of Custody is the timber industry's term for knowing the source of timber. It can be traced from the forest to the end user and is recorded through the following schemes:
