NYTimber has helped raise £1,400 for the Timber Trades’ Benevolent Society (TTBS) which will be used to support individuals in need in the North East and Cumbria.
The annual event, which was organised by retired Managing Director, Peter Kershaw, took place at Hartlepool Golf Club and had a great turnout, as always. The event is supported by local timber trade members and their customers past and present.
There was some great golf on show, with NYTimber faring well as Nick Kershaw, Managing Director, and David Cook, founder, both took home trophies. Suspiciously, Purchasing Director, Vic Bellas, bagged a prize for the Longest Drive, which we know from past performances is highly unlikely – the stewards inquiry is still under way!
Staffordshire-based, TTBS was founded in 1897 and supports aged and retired timber trade members, as well some that are much younger who have fallen ill or lost their partner and require support to care for their children.
Well done to everyone who took part and helped to raise money for this fantastic cause; we’ll see you again next year.
